Alaska Helicopter Elopement

Jessica and Ryan’s Alaska helicopter elopement featured the best of what Alaska has to offer! Jessica started the day with getting her hair done and then the couple drove to Knik River Lodge for their helicopter tour. They had two stops on their tour and we made sure they had everything they needed for their excursion! We brought Individual mini bottles of champagne, champagne tumblers, one bottle for photos, hand warmers, and water. We also take care of things you may not think of like a changing tent and everything you need for a glacier cake cutting – cutting set, plastic wrap, forks, plates, and gallon zip locks for leftovers!

Grasshopper Ridge

The first stop was Grasshopper Ridge. We love this scenic spot nestled between the Knik and Marcus Baker Glaciers. Of course, it’s absolutely gorgeous, but it’s also a great spot for hiking. Jessica and Ryan hiked for a bit at the start. Then they changed into their wedding attire and shared a first look, followed by their intimate ceremony where they exchanged vows and rings. Then, plenty of time for photos!

Glacier

For their second stop, they landed near the blue glacier melt pools on the massive Knik Glacier. This is such a unique and beautiful spot! It also looks totally different than Grasshopper Ridge which is great for multiple experiences and a variety of photos.

The couple did their cake cutting on the glacier – an experience you can only get with an Alaska helicopter elopement!

Campfire

To end their wedding day, we set up a campfire at Eagle River Camp Ground. We arranged the romantic and cozy fire setup, perfect for an elopement. Jessica and Ryan had the best pizza from Moose’s Tooth Pizza along with cocktails. They finished the evening with gourmet smores, signing their marriage license, and enjoying a private first dance among the twinkle lights.

Wishing these Jessica and Ryan a lifetime of love and happiness! We can’t thank them enough for this kind review on their planning experience with us!

“Saige did an amazing job helping us plan our elopement in Alaska. She found the perfect place for our ceremony, and we got to cut our cake near a beautiful glacier pool. Our elopement was more than we could have ever imagined. She really made our day intimate and special in so many ways. We have such good memories for years to come!! She truly out did herself with our campfire dinner and smores board. Every imaginable smores combos you could think of and some you wouldn’t have thought of, but tasted amazing!! A table for two with such warm and thoughtful touches; along with perfect lighting, even lights hung from the trees. I cried when we drove up to the campfire setting. Everything was already sooo perfect, it was such a stunning end to our special day. Please do not hesitate to book with Saige for your planning needs, she will not disappoint.”
